  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • For cinnamon sugar coating: â…“ cup granulated sugar and 1 ½ Tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. In a shallow bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon for coating.
  6. Roll tablespoon-sized balls of dough in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and place them on the baking sheets, spaced two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until edges are set but centers appear slightly underbaked.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for two minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
