Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream the butter with granulated sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla; mix well.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
- For the filling, combine melted butter with sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Roll out half of the dough on parchment paper into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick. Spread half of the filling over it and roll tightly into a log; chill for an hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice chilled dough into rounds and bake for about 10 minutes or until golden around the edges.
- For the glaze, whisk confectioners' sugar with milk and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over cooled cookies.
