- 1 large rotisserie chicken, pulled meat (about 5–6 cups)
- 1/2 pound deli-style black forest chicken, chopped
- 1/2 pound Swiss cheese, sliced
- 4 Tb butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 Tb flour
- 3 C milk
- 2 Tb lemon juice
- 1 Tb Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 4 Tb melted butter
- 1 1/4 C seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/4 C grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9×13 casserole dish with nonstick spray.
- Layer pulled chicken at the bottom of the dish, followed by chopped black forest chicken and Swiss cheese.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and stir until fragrant.
- Stir in flour, then gradually whisk in milk until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
- Add Dijon mustard and seasonings to the sauce; pour evenly over layered ingredients in the casserole.
- Combine melted butter with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese; sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
- Bake for 45 minutes, allowing it to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
